My first introduction to MS was on my second date with my future wife, Melissa Sherak Glasser. At the time Melissa asked that I learn about MS directly from her and her team of exceptional doctors at UCLA and not from a cursory search of the internet. Over the past eleven years I have come to understand the variability and vulnerability of living with this disease. How one day a partner can feel strong and healthy and the next they may be experiencing vertigo or optic neuritis. I have seen how this disease can level you one day, but be beaten back through hope and the support of loved ones the next. These experiences fuel my passion to find a cure and to provide the support and services to improve the lives of those people that live with the disease today. I am proud to serve as the Chairman of the Tom Sherak MS Hope Foundation and to continue the efforts of Tom Sherak, Arthur Schramm and countless others that have carried this torch forward.
